A Story of Literally an Hour.
"The Story of an Hour" by "Kate Chopin" is a story with taste of melancholy imbued with a feeling of happiness. I was thinking that Mrs Mallard's story was more akin to a tragedy because of the death of Mr. Mallard and sudden death of Mrs. Mallard. However upon rereading the story again, I realized that Mrs.Mallard died happy. Even though Mrs. Mallard died ironically from thinking of the future, she was happy on her final moments, therefore I believe that she found salvation before dying. Even if the future she was fantasizing about would never become reality. Another personal take on the story is that Mrs. Mallard saw an Eldritch horror which caused her to go insane with joy thus causing her death.
